You’re Welcome

We’ve been busy supporting the College and have had a full calendar this year helping with fundraising and hospitality at events. The Parents & Friends’ Association’s aim is to make all our families welcome and connected to our College community.

More than 100 mothers attended our new event, the Mums’ Movie Night and a prize raffle (pictured above), which raised funds for the Performing Arts Centre. Thanks to everyone who donated prizes.

Survival specialist Stu Gilbert got the audience to join in at the Father-Daughter Breakfast in the Junior School and had everyone enthralled.

The Junior School Christmas Story event showcased singing from Reception to Year 4 students on November 27. We had a great time serving coffee and Christmas cake to parents, grandparents and staff.

We presented keepsake autograph books to Year 8 students graduating from Middle School.

One of the highlights of 2017 was the Christmas Carol Service for the entire school at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Parnell. We provided Christmas cake and bubbles for parents and caregivers at this wonderful event.

Special thanks to Sharon Seeto and her dedicated team for organising the Y13 Leavers’ Soirée. The last event of the year was an excellent opportunity for parents and daughters to share all the special memories of their time at the College and share their future plans.

Other Parents and Friends’ calendar events included Junior School Chapel teas, Senior School art exhibitions, College Open Days and a guest lecture from psychologist Andrew Fuller.

You will see us helping out and welcoming parents and caregivers at many events throughout 2018 including Meet the Teacher evenings early in Term 1, the Junior School Picnic on Sunday, 4 March and the Principal’s Garden Party on 22 March.

The P&F Annual General Meeting is on 13 March 2018. P&F plays a vital role in keeping us all connected.  It is important for our girls that we have a vibrant, authentic and engaged parent community. Helping with events or coming to meetings is a way you can participate.  You will make great friends, you will hear first-hand what is happening in the life of the College, and you will show your daughter that you are invested in her future. P&F also organises our class co-ordinators who help establish and maintain connections between parents by organising get-togethers such as coffee mornings or drinks.

We are always looking for volunteers for events throughout the year. If you would like to be more involved or want to join the Committee, email us at parents.friends@stcuthberts.school.nz.
