NCEA
At St Cuthbert’s College we have a commitment to preparing our students for national examinations and awards.
Students are able to attain credits towards Level 1 NCEA in seven courses in Year 11.
Students in Year 12 take six courses and work towards attaining credits for Level 2 NCEA.
Students in Year 13 take five courses and work towards attaining credits for Level 3 NCEA.
Some courses involve students working at more than one level of NCEA.
International Baccalaureate
St Cuthbert’s College is authorised to assess for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
IB schools share a common philosophy - a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education. See the IB Diploma section of the website for information on courses for the International Baccalaureate programme.
The IB Diploma Programme is a rigorous two year course for students in Years 12 and Year 13. Like NCEA, the IB Diploma Programme qualification is recognised in New Zealand and overseas to gain entry to university.
