Language Studies (9LNST)

Course Outline
This is a course for students whose English language skills and confidence in expression need support.  All generic areas of basic English are covered and there is a particular emphasis on thinking skills and oral presentation. Students who need extra practice in these areas will be encouraged to take this course which will cover an extensive range of skill development areas. Study skills, goal setting, examination techniques and current events are also part of the programme. There will be 15 minutes of silent reading daily and weekly spelling tests.

Prerequisite
Participation is by invitation only. The maximum class size is 15 to allow for individual attention for each student.
