Spanish (9SPAN)

Course Outline
In this course students are taught to understand simple spoken Spanish in everyday situations and are encouraged to communicate confidently. They learn to share information about themselves, their families and their homes and through role play and creative work, they also begin to acquire the language skills necessary for a visit to a Spanish-speaking country.
Students are also introduced to some aspects of the many varied and exciting Hispanic cultures in the world today including fiestas and food.

Assessment
Two oral internal assessments in the form of a talk and role play.
Two written internal examinations.
