“I can honestly say St Cuthbert’s changed my life. I became a self-confident and secure person.” – Letter from an Old Girl

Nurturing confident, compassionate and resilient girls is at the heart of the St Cuthbert’s College philosophy. We won’t simply develop your daughter’s academic abilities, we will grow her sense of self with exposure to many and varied opportunities from sport and music to dance, drama and community values projects.

A St Cuthbert’s girl leaves the College at Year 13 knowing herself and ready to change the world. She has the College motto – By Love Serve – printed on her heart, with a passion to do her best by herself and others.

Our academic results speak for themselves. We consistently achieve top results in NCEA, IB and NZQA Scholarship examinations thanks to our dedicated and inspiring teaching staff.

The College has an extensive pastoral care network to give guidance and support to our girls during their teenage years. Our vertical form system pairs girls with their Tutor Teachers and House Deans for the entire five years of high school, allowing greater understanding between staff and students and the ability to identify any issues our girls may be dealing with, both inside and outside of school, early on.

Outside of the classroom our sports teams demonstrate great talent and a fair play attitude. We have a number of talented sportswomen in the College, who we take great pride in supporting as they compete at national and international levels.

The College also supports a number of musical endeavours from classical to contemporary and our students excel in competition each year, as well as achieving in other types of performance such as the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare  Festival, Stage Challenge and Polyfest.

Thank you for considering a St Cuthbert’s education for your daughter – we look forward to meeting her.
