Basketball

In 2012, the College will offer basketball from Y4 – 13.
The Y4 -6 players will play in their own league here at school in Term 2.
The Y7 – 8 teams will play a league at Diocesan School on Thursday afternoons.
Under 15 teams will play on a Thursday evening and Under 17 teams will play on a Tuesday evening.
In November and December 2011 we were lucky enough to have Auckland coaches, Theo Tait and Dylan Perfect-Tait, to give skill lessons to next year’s U15 and Premier Teams. The College will be sending these teams to mid season tournaments in Rotorua with the aim of qualifying for the Premier Nationals in October 2012.
Congratulations to the representative players: Breeze Leonard and Theresa Fitzpatrick who represented their regions at Nationals. Breeze was also selected to play in the New Zealand Koru team which travelled to Australia.
