Choirs
Singing is a very important part of life at St Cuthbert's College, in the classroom, assemblies and chapel. We have choirs for students from Y5 to Y13. Students from Y8 and older are encouraged to take singing lessons if they aspire to membership of Saints Alive where choristers are required to have vocal tuition.

Y3-6 Choir
This is an all comers choir for students in Y3-6.
Rehearsals are once a week
Friday: Lunchtime
Junior Black Watch Singers Y5&6
This is an auditioned choir for Y5&6 students. The Junior Black Watch Singers perform regularly in assemblies, Chapels, formal College events and they compete in “Kids’ Sing”.
Rehearsals are twice a week:
Monday: 3.15pm - 4.15pm
Friday: Lunchtime
Song Squad Y7&8
This is an auditioned choir for Y7&8 students. Song Squad performs regularly in assemblies, Chapels, formal College events and they compete in “Kids’ Sing”.
Rehearsals are twice a week:
Monday: 7.30am
Thursday: 3.40pm - 5.00pm
ReZonation Y9-13
This is a non-auditioned Show and Gospel Choir. ReZonation competes in “Big Sing” and performs in concerts and assemblies.
Rehearsals are once a week:
Friday: Lunchtime and other times periodically as arranged
Blackwatch Singers Y9-13
This is an auditioned choir. The Black Watch Singers perform regularly in assemblies, Chapels, formal College events and they compete in “Big Sing”.
Rehearses are twice a week:
Tuesday: 3.15pm - 5.30pm
Wednesday: 7.30am
Plus there are occasional weekend workshops.
Saints Alive Y9 -13
This is our senior auditioned choir. Saints Alive performs regularly in assemblies, Chapels, formal College events and competes in “Big Sing”.
Rehearsals are twice a week:
Wednesday: after school/early evening tbc
Friday: 7.40am
Plus there are occasional weekend workshops.
