Cook Island Dance

With many practices throughout the year the Cook Island Dance Group learns about traditional dance and language and to celebrate the Cook Island culture. A Cook Island Dance teacher helps students to learn the intricacies of the dances they will perform. The girls then perform in front of assembly, Po Fiafia night and at Polyfest. One of the most interesting things about this group is that it is not just Cook Island students taking part, this year’s group was made up of girls from 16 different cultures.
