Cricket
St Cuthbert’s College offers a wide range of coaching and playing opportunities in cricket during term 1 and term 4 for girls of all abilities.
The cricket programmes include a 6-Aside afterschool skill development programme for year
3 – 6 students, a Quikhit tournament for year
5 & 6 and 7 & 8 students, an end of term Central Zone tournament for year
7 & 8 players and a weekly inter-collegiate competition for the College
Junior and 1st XI teams.
For the 2012 season St Cuthbert’s has entered a Year 7 & 8 team in the Auckland NZCT Girls Competition. Senior cricketers will compete in a Super 8 competition during terms 1 & 4 this year.
The College cricket programmes are supported by Tony Yee, the women’s development officer for the Auckland Cricket Association, by experienced parents, and by talented Old Girls and current students who play at a high standard for their local clubs.
