Speech and Drama
The ability to communicate effectively is an essential skill at school, the community and in today's global business environment.
Extra-curricular Speech and Drama tuition covers drama, theatre techniques, mime, improvisation, role play, play production, voice and speech development, poetry, speaking, sight reading, public speaking, seminar and report presentation, conversation and discussion skills.
Over 450 girls from Year 4 through Year 13 are currently learning Speech and Drama and all are involved in competitons, festivals, Trinity College and Speech New Zealand examinaitons.
There have been many outstanding achievements over recent years - Top Mark in New Zealand Grade 8 Trinity College, New Zealand Young Performer of the Year finalist, Championship holders in North Shore, South Auckland, West Auckland, Auckland Central, Napier, Thames, Te Awamutu Competitions.
Opportunities have also arisen for students to become involved in theatre, television and film productions.
