Ms Mulligan is a flute player with a special interest in Concert Band music and exploring new musical styles. She is a very experienced classroom practitioner and is also Musical Director of the Manukau City Concert Band.

Mrs Sally Tibbles

Mrs Tibbles is a RNZ recording artist, tutor in Baroque Flute at University of Auckland, and a member of chamber ensemble Extempore. She is an experienced Suzuki parent and qualified Suzuki teacher involved in workshops around NZ and in Australia. She is involved in Orff Schulwerk pedagogy and directs two of the College’s concert bands.

Mr Stewart Allan

Mr Allan is a versatile musician with professional experience in a wide range of fields such as Rock, Pop, Classical, Jazz, Choral and World Music. He has recently appeared as lead singer in the high profile charity events "Fight for Life" and "MacDonald’s Cirque Rocks". He plays a variety of exotic instruments such as the sitar, didgeridoo and mbira and in NZ has taught music at Diocesan School for Girls and Pakuranga College.

Miss Giles has professional experience as a violinist and choral musician.  She completed post graduate qualifications in modern and baroque violin performance before training as a primary school teacher. She is active in a variety of Auckland orchestras and is a founding member the historically informed performance ensemble AK Barok.

Mr Andrew Stewart

Mr Stewart is a saxophone and clarinet player who has performed and taught music in Christchurch, Dunedin, Wellington and London.  As a junior school music teacher he will be involving the students not only in performing and singing but also composing music. He also directs the Junior Black Watch Orchestra.

 

TIC - Jazz Studies

Mr David Edmundson

Mr Edmundson studied Jazz at Christchurch Polytech and has played in The Rodger Fox Big Band, Four Brothers Saxophone Quartet and currently leads his own jazz trio and quartet. International performances have included Manly Jazz Festival and International Association of Jazz Educators in Chicago.

TIC - Choirs

Ms Megan Flint
MMus(Perf.)(Hons), BEd, Dip. Tchg., ATCL(Voice)

Ms Flint's degree is in Choral Studies and Conducting.
She is passionate about working with treble-voice choirs and is a member of The University of Auckland Chamber Choir and Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir.
Ms Flint is an experienced classroom practitioner in both music and the general curriculum and has a particular interest in the development of young voices.
She integrates the Kodaly pedagogy into her teaching and is currently undertaking the Australian Kodaly Certificate in Music Education in Brisbane, Australia.
