Yachting
St Cuthbert's College has a very successful yachting tradition and is one of the top girls yachting schools in the country.
Sailing at the College has been further strengthened with the opportunity for students to attend the sailing academy at the Royal Akarana Yacht Club. In this academy the girls are instructed by top New Zealand coaches and have the opportunity to gain invaluable racing experience using world class 420 dinghies.
There is also the opportunity for students to participate in an Optimist Academy and a Cadet Academy.
There are a number of interschool competitions that cater for students in Optimist, P Class, Starling, Laser 4.7, Splash, and 420 classes, and also cater for Techno and RSX Windsurfing classes.
The programme is ably administered by former Olympic Yachtswoman, Melinda Henshaw.
