The Robertson Circle Patrons
The Robertson Circle is fortunate to have the voluntary advice, guidance and energy of 8 Patrons who believe in the ongoing financial security of the College and work willingly to support the Development Office to acquire donations to achieve this.
Well respected in business these men and women are not only successful in their own lives but they are always keen to encourage support for St Cuthbert’s whether it be for the current building plan, the scholarship programme or for the general support of the College's goals.
Mr Nick Wiles
"My mother, my sister, my wife and my daughters all attended St Cuthbert’s and I have seen firsthand the standard of education and the powerful influence that the school has had in their lives. I am happy to encourage support for the College so that other families can benefit like mine has”
Mr Jeff Davidson
“Securing an understanding within the St Cuthbert’s community of the critical role voluntary giving plays in delivering a first class education and life skills to our girls gives me satisfaction. Securing their participation gives me even greater pleasure.”
Mrs Gretchen Hawkesby
"The St Cuthbert's that exists today, is thanks to the philanthropic families within the school over the last 95 years. I would like to think that the St Cuthbert's families of the 21st Century can follow in their footsteps to help continue to create an environment for our girls so that they continue to strive for excellence. I adore St Cuth's and I am incredibly passionate about helping fulfill the vision that our board has for the future!"
Mr Richard LeGrice
“St Cuthbert’s is a leading contributor to education in New Zealand and in particular to the girls from all parts of Auckland who are educated at the College. Philanthropy is an essential ingredient in maintaining and improving the resources required to provide the best education possible. Every little bit helps”
Mr Rob MacDonald
"In trying to ever raise the bar and increasing opportunities for our daughters at this School, it creates the reality of trying to get a quart out of a pint pot. The role of the Robertson circle is to encourage those who both can and wish to contribute further to do so. We are fortunate that a number of people believe that the College is way more than a sum of its parts and the influence it has on our daughters is worthy of further investment."
Mr Duncan Leigh
“As a parent of two girls at St Cuthbert's College I am very pleased to be a part of the Robertson Circle to encourage other parents and friends to provide ongoing support in order to maintain the very high standard of education our girls receive…."
Mr Mark Clatworthy
"At St Cuthbert’s we aim to provide the best possible facilities for your daughters and opportunities for talented girls to attend our school. Such projects require extra funding. This can only be achieved with your generosity."
Appointment of New Robertson Circle Patron
Current parent and St Cuthbert’s College Trust Board member Andy Coster has been warmly welcomed as a newly appointed patron of the Robertson Circle.
Andy and his wife Sam hold 5 University degrees between them and passionately believe in women’s education. Firm believers in diversity and outdoor education, Andy and Sam have assisted the College with its Scholarship programme and with the remote campus Kahunui.
Andy brings expertise in strategy and planning along with a strong desire to ensure St Cuthbert’s is equipped to continue as a leader in New Zealand education.
“World wide research shows that boys schools are supported philanthropically far more than girls schools. I hope I can help make changes to this statistic. At St Cuthbert’s we deliver one of the finest academic and all round educations in the country and I am happy to work with the College to encourage support from others to enable us to do this.”
