What Our Staff Are Saying

I am very impressed with the help and assistance offered to me as a Beginning Teacher.  My tutor teacher and other colleagues have been very responsive to my questions and without fail, everyone is happy to support me in my role. All the staff at every level are very approachable, and I feel very welcome at St Cuthbert's.
Helen Fleming, French Teacher

One of the things I have noticed the most about working at St Cuthbert's is the way that the staff care for each other.  I have been so grateful for the support and kindness offered by a wide range of staff - not just those in my team or syndicate.  It seems as though people genuinely care about how things are going.  Knowing that there are structures in place to support staff and students at a moment's notice really gives a sense of security that I am not sure I have ever experienced in a school environment before.
Megan Flint, Y7 Teacher

The staff and students are extremely welcoming.  Staff have consistently offered advice and a friendly smile, and not just for the first week.  This support has been offered throughout the term, making the process of settling in much smoother. Different processes are addressed as they become relevant and the focus of all staff is well centred on providing the best possible learning experiences for students.  Staff have been very inclusive and ready to accept a new face.
Ruth Lomax, Social Sciences Teacher

I am impressed by the friendliness of staff and students, but the best thing about coming to St Cuthbert's at this time is to be part of a new vision and to be part of the implementation of a vision which is really forward thinking and exciting.  The process of consultation that has clearly occurred already and is ongoing, is very inclusive and shows really positive leadership.  I am very enthusiastic about being part of this team, which includes the parents, students, staff and community.  This is something that should be found in all schools.  This is what makes St Cuthbert's special.  I also find the importance given to the pastoral care absolutely amazing.  It is indeed a caring "By Love Serve" philosophy.
Trish Murphy, Guidance Counsellor

I just wanted to pass on how very grateful I am to you for having me back at the College. I truly adore so much that this fantastic place offers me.  I could not put it down to only one single thing.  The people, the culture and the list continues on.  My family see an extremely happy Mum and wife walk out the door each day and that is plainly 'cool'!
Louise White, Learning Assistant Junior School(returning staff member)

I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff for welcoming me and offering me their continuous support on a daily basis.  Warmth, dedication and professionalism surround me every day, what a privilege to be part of this wonderful College, thank you.
