HUMAN RESOURCES CO ORDINATOR – ENTRY LEVEL

St Cuthbert’s College is an Independent day and boarding school for girls, founded in the Presbyterian tradition.  We provide a personalised approach to education for our 1400 students from Reception to Year 13.

We are looking to appoint an HR Co-Ordinator to join the Human Resources team, in a newly created role which will support our busy team.  Whilst the primary function of the role will be largely HR administration and support, you will be involved in all aspects of the People Function and have the ability to get involved in a range of activities and projects.

This role is responsible for:

  • HR administration, including the production of employment agreements and variations.
  • Co-ordination of orientation programmes and on-boarding.
  • Organising events.
  • Overseeing workflow or job management.
  • Assisting with HR reporting.
  • Providing customer service to all staff.

We are seeking a well-organised individual with excellent communication skills and commitment to providing great service.  An ability to work in a team environment, yet maintain absolute confidentiality is key.  With 1-3 years’ experience, you might have some exposure to generalist HR (legislation and practices).  A tertiary qualification is desired in a related discipline.

HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT CO-ORDINATOR / HEAD COACH

(YEARS 1-8)

FINANCE / ACCOUNTING MANAGER

St Cuthbert’s College is an Independent day and boarding school for girls, founded in the Presbyterian tradition. We provide a personalised approach to education for our 1400 students from Reception to Year 13.

Reporting to the Business Manager of the College, St Cuthbert’s are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to the Finance and Accounts team. This pivotal role is responsible for:

  • Leading, directing and motivating the finance and administration team.
  • Preparation of monthly and end of year financial reports.
  • Management of cash flow and debt collection.
  • Preparation for external audit and liaison with auditors.
  • Preparation of external financial statements and other statutory reporting.
  • Management of taxation obligations.
  • Assistance in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Stakeholder management – including suppliers, contractors, parents and internal staff.

We are seeking a strong people leader with excellent technical and functional skills to support and enhance our financial management. You will have the innate ability to communicate articulately and work in a collaborative manner to champion best practice and delivery of quality information and reporting to management and the Trust Board.

In addition, the successful applicant will have:

  • A relevant Tertiary qualification (including CA qualification)
  • Experience within a similar role or environment.
  • A focus on continuous improvement and ability to streamline systems and processes to created efficiencies.
  • An ability to work as part of a high performing team, maintaining an enjoyable working environment consistent with our values of “By love serve”.
  • Excellent ILT skills.

TEACHER AIDE AND ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT – Personalised Learning Centre

  • Admin Role: part time permanent – 16 hours per week
  • Fixed term Teacher Aide role  – 11 .5 hours per week. Varied role with an opportunity to make a significant difference to students.
  • Term time only.

St Cuthbert’s College is an independent day and boarding school with a New Entrant to Year 13 roll of 1400, providing a world-class education for girls in a supportive Christian environment.

We seek a warm, caring professional to work alongside senior students within the mainstream classroom programmes and provide administrative support to the department.  This is a varied role which would suit a strong coordinator and communicator with an interest in education.

This position combines a permanent part-time position with a fixed term teacher-aide component. (Some flexibility is required during exam time).  There is an opportunity for growth in both roles.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good IT skills. Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Ability to understand and work with students who have specific learning differences, or are English language learners.
  • Familiarity with the New Zealand curriculum.
  • Ability to work with students with special assessments conditions.
  • Empathetic to social, psychological, physical and emotional impact on developing learners.
  • Flexibility and commitment to on-going learning and development.
  • A background in education, psychology, social work would be preferable but not a necessity.

LIFEGUARD/POOL ATTENDANT

St Cuthbert’s College is seeking qualified lifeguards for a part-time role. Our pool complex is a world-class facility, with outstanding air and water quality, and is the venue for PE lessons throughout the school day and the award-winning St Cuthbert’s Swim School in the afternoon.

We are seeking to recruit motivated, enthusiastic and qualified lifeguards to join our team of friendly and high achieving individuals. We are seeking people with the following attributes:

  • NZ National Pool Lifeguard – PLPC Level 3
  • First Aid Certificate
