IB Teacher – Chinese 

St Cuthbert’s College invites applications for a teacher of IB – Chinese in a part time contract position commencing as soon as possible and ending on 14 November 2018.

Please indicate your experience and skill set in this area.  The successful candidate will be expected to be a positive and supportive member of Languages Faculty as well as a highly committed and skilled educator.

Kahunui Associate Head of Campus

St Cuthbert’s College is seeking a passionate and creative Associate Head of Campus for its remote education centre, Kahunui. This is a live-in, full-time permanent position commencing 22 January 2018.

The Associate Head of Campus assists the Head of Campus in the development and leadership of a high quality, four week, outdoor, social and sustainability education programme for year 10 students. You will be integral to implementing a positive culture that is student and community focused.

The successful applicant will also support the Head of Campus in the day-to-day running of the centre, including sharing responsibilities for leading staff in training, safety and welfare and liaising with staff at St Cuthbert’s main campus in Epsom. They will undertake the role of Duty Manager when the Head of Campus is absent from the centre.

Experience in secondary education is desired, although not essential. This position will suit someone with a passion for and experience in the outdoors, preferably with qualifications in sea kayaking and/ or tramping. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a sound health and safety knowledge and be able to adhere to and implement strict safety protocols and standards.

The Kahunui campus is situated in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, 40km east of Whakatane. The centre is set in a beautiful coastal valley surrounded by native bush. All staff are required to live on site in the apartment accommodation provided.

Kahunui Head of Wellbeing

St Cuthbert’s College is seeking an energetic and organised Head of Wellbeing for its remote campus, Kahunui. This is a live-in, full-time permanent position commencing 22 January 2018.

Head of Wellbeing is a new role that reports to the Kahunui Head of Campus. This leadership position supports staff as they advance their coaching and mentoring skills and assists the Head of Campus in developing a high quality, four week outdoor, social and education program for year 10 students. The successful applicant will also assist the Head of Campus in the day-to-day running of the centre.

This position will suit someone with experience in secondary education, although this is not essential. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors and for sustainable experiential education. They will demonstrate strong leadership skills and be motivated and enthusiastic about leading a team.

Kahunui Outdoor Instructor

St Cuthbert’s College seeks energetic and enthusiastic outdoor instructors for it’s remote campus, Kahunui. We have four positions available commencing on the 22nd of January.

The successful applicants will have enthusiasm and experience in a broad range of outdoor pursuits with particular focus and/or qualifications in sea kayaking and tramping. They will come with the ability and skills to teach outdoor education and sustainability in an experiential manner and a strong personal ethic in environmental awareness. This position could suit a new graduate to the outdoor industry or an outdoor professional looking to extend their facilitation and coaching skills in a residential setting.

The Kahunui campus is situated in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, 40km east of Whakatane. All staff are required to live on site in the apartment accommodation provided. The centre is set in a beautiful coastal valley surrounded by native podocarp and beech forest.

These positions will involve assisting staff and the Head of Campus in the running of the centre and in a house tutor role to ensure the Kahunui programme is operated in a safe and thorough manner.

The successful applicants will be able to work as part of a small and highly motivated team to coach Year 10 female students to maximise their opportunities through an outdoor and social living programme with a sustainability focus.

Guidance Counsellor – Full time, Permanent

Commencing in Term 1, 2018, St Cuthbert’s College invites applications from guidance professionals with extensive experience in counselling adolescent students and working with families to join our well-established guidance network.
