Digital technology is integrated into everyday life and we know the importance of our students not only being able to interact with it, but also understand the building blocks used to create it.
This starts with our youngest girls who have access to classroom iPads as a tool to support Reading, Writing and Mathematics. Even at this age we foster a deeper understanding of digital tools through our Junior School code club, MissBit, which uses an age appropriate coding programme to allow girls to learn the basics of code languages and create using these.
At Year 5 girls progress to using individual laptops for everyday classroom learning and have the opportunity to join our more advanced code club, TechTweens, which extends on the coding basics girls have already learnt, allowing more complex technology creations.
Girls are guided by specialist teachers in all areas of technology learning and are taught safe internet practices from the outset.
