Leadership

“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.”

Find out what give St Cuthbert’s girls the confidence to lead.

We believe our students deserve numerous opportunities to learn the skill of leading so we provide leadership platforms in all three of our schools: Junior, Middle and Senior.

In the Junior School leadership is introduced in stages, with Reception – Year 3 students being given responsibilities as Values Representatives, Chapel Readers and as directors of designated student-led assemblies.

As girls progress through the Junior School they can grow their leadership skills by fulfilling various roles including Class Captain, Games Captain, Librarian and House Captain. For a comprehensive overview of leadership opportunities at St Cuthbert’s please download our Learning2Lead brochure to the right.

Our Learning2Lead programme governs the leadership journey of all St Cuthbert’s students as they progress from the Junior School to the Middle and Senior Schools, providing responsibility at levels that are both challenging and appropriate to the age of the girls.

We appreciate that we are in the very special position of shaping tomorrow’s leaders and we take great pride in seeing our students go on to achieve wonderful things in significant leadership roles beyond the College gates.
