Numeracy

Our emphasis is on teaching mathematics as a sense-making process and making sure all girls are numerate, have opportunities to be innovative in solving problems and making decisions.  We are able to achieve this by ensuring staff have regular Personal Development opportunities, the students have daily maths lessons, the teaching and learning resources are kept a priority and support is offered to all needs.

The numeracy curriculum in the
Junior School is organised into two age groups: Y1-4 and Y5-8 and consists of statistics, geometry, measurement, numbers and algebra.
