Our very special Grandparents’ Day was a huge success. We had an array of activities and this meant the girls’ grandparents and special family friends were able to see some of the wonderful class and co-curricular activities their grand daughters experience while at the College. It was lovely to have our morning tea in the Performing Arts Centre followed by our open music rehearsals involving many of our Junior School girls.
Our Year 4 Family Chapel last Sunday was very special. My thanks to Rev’d Gahegan and the Year 4 community for coming together for this lovely service.
Today we welcomed Independent Primary School Heads (IPSHA) from Australia and New Zealand. We will all be attending the IPSHA conference over the next few days in Auckland. My thanks to Rose, Olivia and Scarlett and their Year 6 student leadership teams for warmly welcoming our visitors and hosting the tours around the College. The Junior Black Watch Singers will be singing during the conference Chapel Service on Saturday. My thanks to Amelia Giles and the JBWS girls for their support.
This Wednesday our Reception – Year 3 classes invite you to attend the Sharing of Learning. Parents are very welcome to come in and follow their daughter around her morning lessons. You will have the opportunity to see Mathematics and English lessons in the classroom, as well as specialist lessons French, JAM, Music and PE. Class teachers will be sending you more details. The schedule is in the Week Ahead.
