In Term 2 3BOY conducted an investigation around Bugs in the Bush after we had a visit at school from Hands on Creatures. We got to look and hold lots of creatures that live in our bush areas.
One of our classmates, Georgia Wilcox, decided to compare moths and butterflies. She showed us how they are the same and how they are different.
We then made up a dance about moths and butterflies for our Junior School Showcase dance.
Finally it was Wednesday, the day of the Showcase. I was really bursting with excitement. Behind the stage I was waiting for my turn. Then it was 3BOY’s turn with organised costumes. All the parents had their eyes on us thinking they couldn’t believe their eyes….WOW!!! I felt like we had practised 100 times. Every single parent started smiling at me and that meant they thought that we were ready. I couldn’t stop smiling at my mum and dad. My strong dad was taking a very long video because he knew it was us. I tried to be as brave as I could. Everyone was not as good as the cool butterflies and moths. 3BOY really did practise and we were brave and had fun. I wish we did it all around again because it was that much fun. I am not joking. I will always remember this day because it was that fun!

Click! Click! Click! The cameras were on me as I floated onto the stage. I was feeling excited, but feeling a little nervous at the same time. Then I was on the stage and was surrounded by my friends, with my graceful wings floating behind me. I felt like I was dancing my heart out!
The spotlight was on me and I was softly dancing around the stage. I had people all around me standing up and cheering for us.
Whew! That was really hard! Feeling those nerves inside me… it was hard for me to believe that I did it!
