Over the past two weeks, as part of the Junior School Values programme, all of the girls have taken part in the Helping Hands project. The aim of this project was for each girl to complete as many jobs around the house as possible in exchange for sponsorship. This sponsorship formed their donation, which they returned to school last week. It was clear to see the effort put in by all of the girls, congratulations to you all and thank you parents for your support.
The money from our Helping Hands project has now been combined with money collected through our termly mufti days, which will then be donated to the SPCA and Mobility Dogs at the end of the year.
This term we have also collected for Daffodil Day. Below is some of the lovely artwork from the Year 1 girls.
Treats for Aranui
As many of you will be aware, St Cuthbert’s have been supporting Aranui Primary School. This school is based in an area of Christchurch that was devastated by the earthquakes five years ago. At the end of this year, there will be a new campus that the primary school will operate out of, seeing the closure of the current location.
It was lovely to be able to welcome some staff and students from Aranui earlier this term, where a presentation of puipui were made to our Junior School in recognition of the support they have received from us. These Puipui will be cherished for a long time to come.
