As part of the Values Programme in the Junior School, our girls support two main charities. These include the Mobility Dogs Trust in Reception to year 3, and the SPCA in years 4-6. These charities benefit greatly from our support throughout the year and they are both charities the girls relate well to. Along with these charities, we also work closely with Presbyterian Support Northern to help families in need in our community throughout the year.
This year has got off to a busy start with a visit from Mr John Peebles and his lovely mobility dog Hugo, and then a visit from Alex and her dog Monty from the SPCA. The girls enjoyed hearing about these organisations, how they help in our community, and how the money we raise is used. This term the girls have also had a mufti day to raise money for our charities, and a food bank and Easter egg collection for Presbyterian Support Northern. On top of this, the girls enjoyed a cupcake day, which seen us raise money that will go towards the Habitat for Humanity house build that is currently being done in the Senior School.
