St Cuthbert’s College was the first school in New Zealand to complete the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge in 2016. The event was driven by a group of Year 13IB students – Louisa Blunt, Sonia Lin, Zoe Ooi, Alice Sleep, Rhea Vara, Eveline Wang, Melissa Wang, Sherry wen and Angela Yao.
Middle School were particularly proactive and inventive with ways to be sponsored for the challenge, e.g. one student taped her thumbs to her hand and didn’t use them for 40 hours.
A total of $10,284.20 was raised by Middle and Senior School students in support of the Syrian refugees. Amazing effort girls!
