This term our Year 7 girls are beginning to think about leadership positions and what they may like to be involved in next year. Most of our Year 7 girls are ready to face the challenge of leadership roles, and some will hone their skills as committee members as they learn and grow and develop the skills needed to become well rounded leaders.
We are constantly looking at how we can get the best out of our girls and Ms Susannah Marshall, has been doing some professional development with our team around Carol Dweck’s fixed and growth mindset work.
We are heading towards summer, so a gentle reminder that girls must be wearing their College cap at interval and lunchtime. There are no exceptions to this rule. Students are expected to carry sunblock in their schoolbags, and there is also provision of sunblock in the classrooms. We expect students to take responsibility for applying sunblock.
The girls are participating in prelims for our annual Athletics Day at Mt Smart Stadium. This will take place on Tuesday 15 November and we look forward to seeing many of you at this event supporting your daughters. A gentle reminder to book the babysitter for Thursday 3 November so that you can attend the Year 7 and 8 Class Coordinators’ end of year function at Non Solo Pizza. The more the merrier!
