This is my last College Connection as Principal and next Friday will be my last day in the College. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the confidence and trust you have had in me to lead this place and for the support and encouragement I have received from so many of you over the last few years. It has been an honour to be in this role and to be a small part of the lives of so many students and their families. I have loved my time in the College and know that I have been very fortunate to have had the chance to work with so many lively, thoughtful, caring and motivated young women; seeing those shy and quiet (or impulsive and energetic) 5 year olds growing into assured, articulate and responsive 18 year olds is a rare experience and one I have really valued.
I have been so fortunate to work with a great senior leadership team, all of whom lead their schools and areas so competently, and with fantastic academic and support staff. High quality teachers and effective, committed support staff make all the difference to our girls’ development, especially when supported by a very strategic, focused Trust Board. By Love Serve is evident in so many aspects of life here.
Ms Helen Robertson will be the Acting Principal in Term 4 and I wish her all the very best for the term and beyond. Ms Roz Mexted will be here from November 1, familiarising herself with the students and staff, as she prepares to take up the Principal’s role from the start of 2017.
I know that wherever I go in the world, I will run into current students, Old Girls and current and former parents and staff – I look forward to catching up with you!
Warmest best wishes for the future,
Mrs Lynda Reid
