“A haven in the midst of our busy world, where our girls may find strength and inspiration to develop their full potential as the women of tomorrow.”
We are lucky to have a beautiful, peaceful oasis at the heart of the College. Completed in 1993, the Old Girls Chapel was fundraised by the Old Girls Association, and commemorates their 75th anniversary.
Rich with symbols and motifs from the Celtic tradition of Christianity, it is a place where girls “may find strength and inspiration to develop their full potential as the women of tomorrow.” Students attend mid-week Chapel services, and Family Chapel services are held on Sundays. On Monday evenings there is a Boarders’ Chapel service, and on Thursday afternoons a Staff and Senior Student service of Holy Communion.
Weddings are conducted for Old Girls, as well as baptisms and blessing ceremonies. Meetings and interviews prior to these services explore the significance of what is being undertaken.
