Learning To Lead
We believe that Leadership is a skill that can be taught, that if girls are given multiple opportunities to learn what leadership means, to build a leadership skill set, to practice and refine those skills and to understand the rewards and responsibilities leadership entails, then they will all have the capacityto be leaders.
Our leadership programme runs from Year 1 to Year 13 and aims to provide cumulative experiences in leadership.
Leadership Week
Every year we have one week in which the explicit focus of the College is on leadership.
The week has been chosen to coincide with the Sir Peter Blake Leadership Awards.
During this week the College:
• Recognises both emerging Old Girl leaders and established Old Girl leaders through the Making Their Mark Awards and the OGA Honours Award
• Celebrates and shares examples of leadership through assemblies and chapel services
• Has a classroom focus on inspiring examples of leadership
• Invites leaders from the wider community to share their perspectives and experiences.
