Marking Service Awards
Inspired by the St Cuthbert’s College motto “By Love Serve” and by a desire to celebrate women in the College family who have taken the spirit of our motto into their life and work, the MARKING SERVICE AWARD will be made at the annual Making Their Mark Awards event.
St Cuthbert’s women are MARKING SERVICE in all areas of the community. Whether it be those who lead a major service campaign or those who give personal time to assist others, St Cuthbert’s will identify and celebrate these women for the greater good they bring our society.
The MARKING SERVICE AWARD will be made every year during the New Zealand Leadership week and will recognise someone who has demonstrated some or all of the following criteria:
• Shows voluntary personal involvement in service
• Leads or gives personal time and skill to service campaigns
• Demonstrates considerable achievements in the area of community service over a sustained period
• Undertakes a service role for the benefit of others
• Invests time and energy on behalf of others
• Shows determination and a will to improve the lot of others
• Believes in achieving extraordinary things
• Has courage to take on significant challenges
• Shows integrity
• Gives service as part of an unpaid role
• Shows generosity of spirit
• Embodies ‘By Love Serve”
At the making Their Mark morning, Students, Mothers and Old Girls will have an opportunity to acknowledge these women who excel by giving back to our society and by benefiting others.
The 2012 Awards Breakfast will be held at the College during New Zealand Leadership Week.
