Values

By Love Serve is at the heart of all we do at St Cuthbert’s, in particular our Values programme, which gives all our girls a chance to contribute to their community.

In the Senior School girls give more than financial support to their chosen charities, they also get involved by offering practical support. This hands-on approach involves running school holiday workshops for Ronald McDonald House, offering companionship at the Elizabeth Knox Rest Home, tutoring students from Orakei Primary and rolling sleeves up to construct with Habitat for Humanity, to list a handful of the charities we support.

All girls in the Senior School contribute to charities throughout the year whether it be giving their time directly or organising fundraising initiatives. Girls have complete ownership of their Values projects and gain great satisfaction from making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Services conducted by our Chaplain in the Old Girls’ Chapel also form part of our Values programme and provide an excellent opportunity for our girls to reflect on their charitable endeavours, give thanks and gain a deeper understanding of what it means to live By Love Serve.
