The Personalised Learning Centre

The goal of the Personalised Learning Centre (PLC) is to cater for the needs of diverse learners – gifted students, students who learn in different ways to their peers and English Language Learners.
Personalising learning is underpinned by a belief that students should have access to learning opportunities at the level best suited to them and throughout their College life. Students are identified at an early stage, considered on a case by case basis and personalised learning plans developed for those who require significant intervention to improve their academic or social/emotional development.
Students spend the bulk of their time in mainstream classes so the PLC provides professional development, in-class support and mentoring for teachers.
