Qualifications
From 2010 the International Baccalaureate (IB) was added to the qualifications offered at the College.
The College reaffirms it's confidence in NCEA as a qualification which is delivering excellent outcomes for a wide range of students, many of whom are achieving success at the highest level. It is our belief that the addition of IB means that students have choice. NCEA will suit some students, including very able girls and IB will suit some girls, including very able ones.
The addition of IB as a qualification in 2010 recognises the College’s policy to introduce new programmes only after thorough and considered preparation, and that we will need to ensure that our academic staff are given time and the resources to enable them to deliver programmes to the St Cuthbert’s standard.
We view this as a very positive development for the students and thank parents for their feedback and support.
St Cuthbert’s College is authorised to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
International Baccalaureate schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that this College believes is important for our students.
Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) as IB World Schools can offer any of its three academic programmes:
