Supporting Our Students
The framework for supporting students ensures that the College is able to provide a safe emotional and effective environment for students and that teaching is tailored to the ability of each individual.
The key groups responsible for supporting this high standard of pastoral care and ensuring its implementation are the Trust Board, the SMT, the QMS Head team, the Student Development team and staff in the Guidance Network.
The first point of contact for all students is the classroom teacher or the Form teacher who work closely with Deans at each year level.
Gifted students are given the opportunity for accelerated classes and Learning Potential classes are available for students who need help maximizing their potential.
Student support is also offered in ways outside the classroom.
Pastoral care is offered through our Chaplain, Guidance Counsellors, Nurses, access to Senior Management and if required, outside professional help.
Our Careers Counsellor is available and encourages students to continue to reach their full potential after their schooling.
