World Champion Holly White Awarded Prime Minister’s Scholarship

St Cuthbert’s Old Girl, Holly White, has been awarded a coveted Prime Minister’s Sports Scholarship. Holly is taking up study at Waikato University this year and will reside in Cambridge to be close to the Avantidrome, where she will continue her high performance cycling training.


Ranked 5th in the world in the her age group, Holly has been training under the watchful eye of Cycling New Zealand after representing the country in Kazakhstan at the Junior World Championships last year. In the 4000m Team Pursuit, Holly and her team won a gold medal and set a world record in the process.


The scholarship will help Holly to reach her goal of being on the podium at the 2020 Olympics.
