Dear St Cuthbert’s parents and alumnae,

Our names are Chloe and Lola and we are the co-leaders of the Year 13 Development Committee at St Cuthbert’s College in Auckland. This year, our committee is running our school’s annual Fashion Show fundraising event. The money raised from this event will go towards our Sports Achievers’ Fund, which was established to support our high achieving sports students who would be otherwise unable to represent the school in their chosen sport at national or international level due to financial constraints.

With the current pandemic, one of our goals as a committee is to support businesses at a local level. This is why we are reaching out to the wider St Cuthbert’s community to see if your brands would like to be a part of the 2020 fashion show. St Cuthbert’s has been running this show for over 10 years and we would like to centre the fundraiser this year around the college community, as we are all going through this unprecedented time together.

The annual fashion show is an amazing opportunity to showcase brands to 500 female students ranging in age from 12-18 years. Many events have been cancelled due to the pandemic and we are thrilled to still be able to hold this event as we know many girls look forward to it. If you are able to support us in this fundraiser, whether that be a sample of your product, lending of items or discounts or vouchers, this would be greatly appreciated.

Your support would mean our talented sportswomen are able to cover the costs of travel and accommodation to participate in sports competitions in New Zealand and overseas. The recipients of Sports Achievers grants are role model students at the school and provide inspiration to girls participating in all sports codes.

If you decide you would like to be part of our show, we can offer exposure for your brand in the following ways:

  • Your logo would be included on all printed collateral including posters and flyers around the school
  • Your logo on any digital advertising going out the school community via email and social media
  • Your logo on the fashion show ticket and PowerPoint Presentation on the day of the event
  • Mention in an article in the school’s Evergreen Ties magazine, which is distributed to over 6,000 members of the school community.

In addition to the above, we also write a report that includes our sponsors’ names and logos and feature professionally taken photos from the event for our annual yearbook, The Chronicle.

Our IT Department will help us with professional stage lighting and sound and we also use expert hair and makeup teams to transform the models and take them from the classroom to the catwalk!

Alongside the fashion show we also run a raffle, VIP packages, spot prizes and giveaways which are other ways to showcase brands that may not be particularly fashion focused. For example in previous years we have had prizes from Kapiti Ice Cream, Ponsonby Tan, Griffins, Walker and Hall, Huffer and Adidas.
