Graduation Ball

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to our Graduation Ball on Friday 6 December 2019 at Ellerslie Event Centre.

For over 65 years, the Old Girls’ Association has hosted a Ball, to welcome our newest members to the Association.

This page will be updated regarding information on the Graduation Ball for 2019. For now, please scroll down to find more information regarding ticketing, tables, and the dress code for the evening.

The ticket price is To Be Confirmed.

This includes the graduation ceremony, a seated dinner, and dancing. A cash bar will be operating and non-alcoholic beverages will be supplied. Graduates may invite family, friends, and a partner. Partners are not compulsory. This is an adult event and is not appropriate for children under 14.

Please note that graduates will also be required to purchase a ticket. As the Ball is run entirely by the Old Girls’ Association, tickets are not able to be charged to your school account.

Dress code

As this is a truly special occasion, formal evening wear is required on the evening. In keeping with tradition, it is preferred if you, as the graduate, wears white or pale coloured attire.

Graduation groups

What better way to graduate than walking across the stage with your friends? At the booking stage, you will need to nominate who you would like to graduate on stage with (in pairs or up to groups of four). When selecting your graduation group, please remember to be inclusive and ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the moment.

Seating arrangements

At the booking stage, you will be asked to nominate who you would like to be seated with for the dinner. Please note that we can accommodate up to ten people per table. We will do our utmost to ensure that all requests are taken into consideration.

If you do not have a preference, a table will be arranged for you.

Grad ball rehearsal

The rehearsal for the Grad Ball will take place in December at Ellerslie Event Centre.

On the evening

The directions to Ellerslie Event Centre can be found here.

Your parents and caregivers are some of your biggest supporters in life and are undoubtedly part of the reason that you’re graduating this year!

In honour of their support, we ask that you nominate someone (ideally a parent or guardian) to walk with you and stand with you as you receive your Old Girls Badge. You will also share the first dance of the evening with that person.

Professional photographers

We have arranged professional photographers to capture the evening and photos of your graduation and your year group will be available to purchase. There will also be a photo-booth available on the evening.
