A to Z of getting started
Welcome to the St Cuthbert’s family. If your daughter is about to start with us, you’ll no doubt have questions about her day to day school life. The Getting Started Guide below provides an outline of how to prepare for St Cuthbert’s. Of course, if you have specific questions, please feel free to get in touch. We’re here to help.
After School Care
The After School Club runs every afternoon of the school year. For busy parents rushing from work, collecting other children and negotiating heavy traffic, knowing that their child is in a happy safe environment is invaluable.
Experienced teacher Sandy Thomas makes the children very welcome. They have afternoon tea waiting straight after school along with a great variety of games and creative activities. On fine days the girls go out to play before beginning homework.
We welcome girls on a regular or casual basis. Many girls come before or after sport, music or drama practice, some while waiting for buses or on parent interview days.

Co-curricular Activities
St Cuthbert’s offers a huge range of co-curricular activities. Whether she’s into sports, arts or drama, there’s something for everyone.
Prior to your daughter’s first day at St Cuthbert’s your daughter will be able to sign up for any music or speech and drama itinerant lessons offered at her year level. Sports teams, music ensembles and performance groups can be joined once she has started. Girls are regularly informed about co-curricular opportunities available to them.
ILT/Technology
We are rolling out a new device policy which is effective from 2020.
2020 Year 5, 6 and 7 students will need an iPad Pro, with keyboard and Apple Pencil. This device will be able to be used until the end of Year 9.
2020 Year 8 students require an Apple laptop. These students will use a Laptop until the end of Year 13. If/When a replacement is needed in the higher levels of the Senior School, the replacement can be either an Apple or Windows-based laptop.
Senior School girls joining from Year 9 have the choice of bringing either an Apple or Windows-based laptop. This will be used until the end of Year 13.
Parent Portal
You’ll have access to our parent portal, MyCollege. This provides details on everything from upcoming events, notices, forms, and your daughter’s key information including her timetable, co-curricular activities, and much more.
School Hours
For our Junior School our school hours are 8.30am to 3pm each day, except for Tuesdays when the girls finish at 2.45pm. For our Year 7-13 girls, our school hours are from 8:30am – 3:30pm. Girls have a break each day for morning tea, and another break at lunchtime from 12:55pm – 1:50pm. The school day is structured into 6 periods (or lessons) per day. Many girls participate in co-curricular activities such as arts or sports either before or after school. There also may be sports games, special music performances and Chapel services held over the weekend.
Stationery
Junior School. Stationery for Junior School students is provided by the school at the beginning of each year. Your daughter will receive her stationery pack on her first day of school whether she starts at the beginning of the school year or part-way through. The cost will be charged to your school account.
Senior School
Students are responsible for purchasing their own stationery. Thanks to our stationery partner, OfficeMax MySchool, we now provide a digital ordering system that enables you to purchase your daughter’s Year 7-13 Senior School stationery requirements online. Simply visit the OfficeMax website and order your daughter’s stationery online. Alternatively, you can download your daughter’s stationery lists, based on year level, below.

Uniform Shop
St Cuthbert’s uniform is available exclusively from Black Watch House, the on-campus uniform shop located on the lower ground floor of the Robertson Building. New and pre-loved school uniforms and accessories can be purchased from here. We recommend making an appointment for a uniform fitting for new enrolments.
Blackwatch House is closed for 2019. It will reopen on Tuesday 14 January 2020.
