Starting at different stages
We welcome girls right through the Junior, Middle and Senior school years, at every level. While many girls start at Year 0, Year 7 or Year 9, we also offer places at all other year groups. Please feel free to talk to our Admissions team about ways we can help accommodate your daughter to experience St Cuthbert’s.
Junior School (Year 0–Year 6)
Following an informal family interview, we like to welcome girls to our Year 0 class at the beginning of the term in which she turns five. However, we are also welcome girls at other times in the year, and are happy to discuss your individual needs with you. Explore our Junior School
Middle School (Year 7/8)
The transition from Year 6 to Year 7 is a critical time in your daughter’s life as she is fast developing physically, emotionally, and socially. From the start of Term One 2020, our Senior School will begin in Year 7 instead of Year 9. The move to incorporate Years 7 and 8 into our Senior School enables us to better recognise the unique developmental needs of girls in each of those specific year groups, and will provide many additional opportunities for leadership, mentoring, and learning across the school. Find our more about these changes here.
Senior School (Year 9–13)
We have a number of girls who join us in Year 9, and places are offered once we meet with your daughter at one of our personalised entry days, which are held regularly throughout the year. We also welcome girls in Years 10-13, who are looking for preparation for further study and life beyond school, or who are looking for a boarding option. Explore our Senior School
